Follow the following steps carefully to achieve a close, comfortable shave:

Step 1: Pre-shave

              Apply a small amount of  om 3 in 1shave balm to skin.  This will add a layer of hydration that protects your skin from razor burn and softens your beard for easier cutting.  Make sure that you massage the balm well into your beard.  This will improve razor glide making shaving more comfortable.  NOTE: It is best to shave after a shower: your beard will be softer.

Step 2: Lather

              This is the most crucial part.  If you rush this step, it will greatly reduce the comfort of your shave.  Dip a wet brush into om lye-free shaving cream. Whisk the brush onto the skin in counter-grain circles.  IMPORTANT: Add water to the brush throughout the lathering process.  You may have to do this two-four times to activate the lye-free technology.   Lathering should take 1-3 minutes.  You know you have finished once the lather resembles whipped cream. 

Step 3: Shave

              After preparing your skin sufficiently, shave with the grain.  If you prefer a closer shave, try shaving counter-grain, but only after shaving with the grain first.  It is important to shave comfortably.  Take the time to see what method works best for your face.  Everyone  is different.  If you have a dense beard and soft skin shave with the grain only.  If you have a soft beard, shaving counter-grain will probably not cause discomfort.

Step 4: Rinse

              Rinsing should be done with warm water first,then with a splash of cold water.  Make sure to rinse well; this will prevent irritation and itchiness. This will also seal the skin and prevent excessive oiliness.  Dry your face with a clean white towel by blotting.  Rubbing a towel on your face can aggravate your skin and cause excessive oil secretion.  

Step 5: Protect and Hydrate

              Apply om 3 in1 shave balm  to your skin as the final step.  Its essential oil blend will disinfect your skin, preventing breakouts.  It will also re-hydrate your face, leaving it feeling cool and moisturized.   IMPORTANT: Keep any of the above mentioned products out of your eyes.
